We did it!!!

I have been trying to simplify my life. Steve went and put us down to basic cable only so that he could still watch the news and such. anyways, my goal was to not have the tv on at all during the day and today we did it. Oh except for a 30 min workout dvd. But Im not really counting that. Anyways, we didnt watch any silly toon stuff or anything like that. It was actually a little harder then I thought it would have been. I am so used to having it be my babysitter. But the kids did pretty good.

I also have told the friends that our play days are wed. and sat. I am trying to bring it all back home. With Corlie at school all day she doesnt need the friends over right after school every day. Anyways, we are slowly doing things that I hope in the long run will bring us closer as a family and closer to Heavenly Father. With the way the world is changing so fast I really feel like I need my family to build stronger bonds. And so this is my goal.

I also want to pair down on our toys and all if the distractions. I have so much stuff that it has been driving me crazy. Less is more sometimes. I dont know when I will get to that but it is on my list.

I found out what Martha loves the most in the whole world. Her room. She wasnt following instructions and she lost all of her privelages for 24 hours and that included her room (except to sleep) and she sat by her door for an hour and cried. I know I am so mean but it wasnt my choice it was hers. She chose to not follow instructions and she new what would happen if she didnt except a no answer or follow instructions. And so it wasnt really me it was her own choice.
teachingselfgovernment.com it is a great website and I am really trying to do it. I love her cds and this site is just awsome!!! I cant wait for her book. Anyways, wow I kind of went all over the place with this post but it is what it is.

I need to go and read some of my doula stuff to prepare for my interview. I as still way excited about this lady letting me be her doula. I hope that I can serve her well.
